| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, A 75th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of |

| 7 | 7 | | mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Marvin and Mae McDaniel |

| 8 | 8 | | are celebrating this joyous milestone in their marriage on May 7, |

| 9 | 9 | | 2023; and |

| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Marvin Oliver McDaniel and the former Mae Frances |

| 11 | 11 | | Smith were joined in matrimony at a ceremony officiated by J. W. |

| 12 | 12 | | Watson in Dallas, Georgia, on that special day in 1948, and over the |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | course of their marriage, they have found in each other a devoted |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | life partner; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, This esteemed couple has been blessed with a fine |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | family that includes their two children, Carol Bishop and Stephen |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | McDaniel, as well as their grandchildren and great-grandchildren, |

| 18 | 18 | | with whom they treasure spending many special occasions; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Marvin and Mae McDaniel have enjoyed seven and a |

| 20 | 20 | | half decades of abiding love and affection for each other, and they |

| 21 | 21 | | are among an exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a |

| 22 | 22 | | lasting commitment; now, therefore, be it |

| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 24 | 24 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Marvin and Mae McDaniel on their |

| 25 | 25 | | 75th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
