| 7 | 7 | | 2023 Texas High School Women's Powerlifting Association 3A Division |

| 8 | 8 | | II State Championships; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Rojas became the first student-athlete from |

| 10 | 10 | | Monte Alto to qualify for the THSWPA state meet after placing fourth |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | in the 220-pound weight class at the regional competition, where |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | she hoisted 920 total pounds; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, On March 16, Ms. Rojas joined the other top high |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | school lifters in Texas for the state championships at the Comerica |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Center in Frisco; she compiled 360 pounds in the squat, 240 in the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | bench press, and 350 in the dead lift, and her final tally of 950 |

| 17 | 17 | | pounds earned her fifth place; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Rojas has made notable progress in the sport |

| 19 | 19 | | during high school and made her first appearance at the regional |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | meet in 2022; she is coached by her father, Rolando Rojas, and by |

| 21 | 21 | | Iliana Garza, and she also benefits from the support of her mother, |

| 22 | 22 | | Betty Rojas, and her brothers, Omar Reyes Jr. and Isaias Enrique |

| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Itzel Rojas has excelled through skill, hard work, |

| 25 | 25 | | and an unwavering commitment to excellence, and she is a source of |
