H.R. No. 129
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Family and friends suffered an immeasurable loss
with the passing of Danica Summer Kaprosy of Selma on July 20, 2022,
at the age of 17; and
WHEREAS, Born in San Antonio on June 21, 2005, to Daniel and
Veronica Kaprosy, Danica Kaprosy grew up with the companionship of
a sister, Sydney; she was a senior at Veterans Memorial High School,
and outside of class, she was employed as a hostess at Garcia's
Mexican Restaurant; and
WHEREAS, Danica was beloved by all who knew her, and she
cherished the time she spent with her family, as well as her
boyfriend, Matt Solis, and her best friend, Cameron Moncivaiz; she
was passionate about music and enjoyed playing the piano and
violin; her creative interests also included painting and drawing,
and she was fond of swimming and displaying her skills on the
volleyball court with her classmates, friends, and family; and
WHEREAS, Although she is deeply missed, Danica Kaprosy
touched the lives of everyone around her in ways beyond measure, and
they will forever carry her memory close in their hearts; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Danica Summer Kaprosy
and extend profound condolences to the members of her family: to her
parents, Daniel and Veronica Kaprosy; to her godparents, Noemi G.
Gonzalez and Bobby M. Gonzalez; to her sister, Sydney R. Canedo; to
her nephew, Shawn Canedo Jr.; to her niece, Italee Grace Canedo; to
her grandmother, Sonia Trejo, and her husband, Sergio; to her aunts
and uncles, Roxanne M. Calderon and her husband, Esteban, Valerie
G. Hoyt and her husband, Don, Michael Kaprosy, and Lydia Torres and
her husband, Robert; to her cousins, Alex G., Lorenzo, Zion,
Izaeah, Ilycia, Ronnie, Gabriela, Bobby, Alex T., Jessica,
Kassandra, and Karina; and to her other relatives and friends; and,
be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Danica
Summer Kaprosy.
