| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Daniel Guzman of Sugar Land has ably served his |

| 6 | 6 | | fellow Texans as an intern in the office of State Representative |

| 7 | 7 | | Charles Cunningham during the 88th Legislative Session; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Guzman has provided |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | such as conducting legislative research, handling constituent |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | correspondence, and briefing staff on meetings; in addition to |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | gaining valuable experience in the field of public service, he has |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | learned more about the legislative process and the issues facing |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, The son of Carlos Guzman and Diana Tovar, Mr. Guzman |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | is currently on the applied politics and pre-law track at |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | St. Edward's University, where he is pursuing a major in political |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | science and a minor in legal studies; active in his campus |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | community, he has participated in student government as a senator, |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | and he has served as vice president of the men's soccer club; he |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | plans to become an attorney and to one day run for political office; |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | and |

| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Daniel Guzman has performed his duties as a |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | legislative intern with skill and dedication, and he is indeed |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore, |

| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 28 | 28 | | Legislature hereby commend Daniel Guzman for his service as a |

| 30 | 30 | | Cunningham and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued |
