 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Daniel Guzman of Sugar Land has ably served his
 fellow Texans as an intern in the office of State Representative
 Charles Cunningham during the 88th Legislative Session; and
 WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Guzman has provided
 vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks,
 such as conducting legislative research, handling constituent
 correspondence, and briefing staff on meetings; in addition to
 gaining valuable experience in the field of public service, he has
 learned more about the legislative process and the issues facing
 citizens of the Lone Star State; and
 WHEREAS, The son of Carlos Guzman and Diana Tovar, Mr. Guzman
 is currently on the applied politics and pre-law track at
 St. Edward's University, where he is pursuing a major in political
 science and a minor in legal studies; active in his campus
 community, he has participated in student government as a senator,
 and he has served as vice president of the men's soccer club; he
 plans to become an attorney and to one day run for political office;
 and
 WHEREAS, Daniel Guzman has performed his duties as a
 legislative intern with skill and dedication, and he is indeed
 deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore,
 be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
 Legislature hereby commend Daniel Guzman for his service as a
 legislative intern in the office of State Representative Charles
 Cunningham and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
 success in all his endeavors; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Mr. Guzman as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
