| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Sheryse Desiree Mobley has been named a |

| 6 | 6 | | recipient of a 2023 Distinguished Alumni Award by the Killeen |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | Independent School District Alumni Association; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Each year, the alumni association recognizes |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Killeen ISD graduates who have contributed significantly to their |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | communities or professions and who serve as inspiring role models |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | for future generations; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, A 2011 graduate of Killeen High School, Dr. Sheryse |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Mobley earned an undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | and a doctorate in podiatric medicine from Kent State University; |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | she was subsequently commissioned into the United States Air Force |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | and went on to complete a three-year podiatric surgery residency |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | with Baltimore Veterans Affairs and Sinai Hospital of Baltimore |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics; along the way, she was |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | promoted to the rank of captain; she is currently stationed at Joint |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska, as a staff |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | podiatric foot and ankle surgeon; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, The accomplishments of noteworthy alumni are a |

| 23 | 23 | | source of great pride to all those associated with Killeen ISD, and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Dr. Sheryse Mobley is indeed deserving of this prestigious honor; |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | now, therefore, be it |

| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 27 | 27 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Dr. Sheryse Desiree Mobley on her |

| 28 | 28 | | receipt of a 2023 Distinguished Alumni Award from the Killeen |
