| 8 | 8 | | Education event on March 29; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Griffith has more than two decades of experience |

| 10 | 10 | | in education, and she has spent the past five years with Corpus |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Christi ISD, where she is currently serving as deputy |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | superintendent of business and support services; widely respected |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | by her peers, she has distinguished herself through her attention |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | to detail and commitment to fiscal responsibility; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Karen Griffith has set an outstanding example of |

| 16 | 16 | | leadership and dedication to which others may aspire, and she is |

| 17 | 17 | | indeed deserving of this noteworthy honor; now, therefore, be it |

| 18 | 18 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 19 | 19 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Karen Griffith on her receipt of a |

| 20 | 20 | | 2023 Women in Education Award from the Education Service Center |
