H.R. No. 1517
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Karen Griffith of the Corpus Christi Independent
School District received a 2023 Women in Education Award from the
Education Service Center Region 2 at its Outstanding Women in
Education event on March 29; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Griffith has more than two decades of experience
in education, and she has spent the past five years with Corpus
Christi ISD, where she is currently serving as deputy
superintendent of business and support services; widely respected
by her peers, she has distinguished herself through her attention
to detail and commitment to fiscal responsibility; and
WHEREAS, Karen Griffith has set an outstanding example of
leadership and dedication to which others may aspire, and she is
indeed deserving of this noteworthy honor; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Karen Griffith on her receipt of a
2023 Women in Education Award from the Education Service Center
Region 2 and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success
in her important work; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Griffith as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
