 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Kacy Middleton has ably served her fellow Texans as
 an intern in the office of State Representative Ann Johnson during
 the 88th Legislative Session; and
 WHEREAS, Since joining the staff in August 2022,
 Ms. Middleton has provided vital assistance in handling a wide
 variety of challenging tasks; in addition to gaining valuable
 experience in the field of public service, she has learned more
 about the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the
 Lone Star State; and
 WHEREAS, A student at The University of Texas at Austin,
 Ms. Middleton is pursuing a triple major in government, sociology,
 and rhetoric and writing in the Liberal Arts Honors Program; active
 in her campus community, she has served as public relations
 co-chair of the National Black Law Students Association UT Chapter,
 as a First-Year Interest Group mentor, and as a Longhorn
 Legislative Aide with the UT student government; moreover, she has
 volunteered with the kids ministry at The Austin Stone Community
 Church and acted as a Metroport teen court attorney for the City of
 Southlake; and
 WHEREAS, Kacy Middleton has performed her duties as a
 legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed
 deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore,
 be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
 Legislature hereby commend Kacy Middleton for her service as a
 legislative intern in the office of State Representative Ann
 Johnson and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success
 in all her endeavors; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Ms. Middleton as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
