| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Cameron James Atkins graduated from the Abilene |

| 6 | 6 | | Police Academy on March 2, 2023, and it is fitting that he be |

| 7 | 7 | | recognized for his commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | of his fellow Texans; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, After undergoing training and successfully |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | graduating as a member of Police Training Class No. 60, Mr. Atkins |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | was sworn in as an officer of the Abilene Police Department with |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Badge No. 1330, joining the ranks of men and women who dedicate |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | themselves to protecting the lives and property of Abilene |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | residents; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, By taking his oath of duty, Officer Cameron Atkins |

| 16 | 16 | | is carrying on the department's proud tradition of service to the |

| 17 | 17 | | community, and he is to be commended for devoting himself to this |

| 18 | 18 | | challenging yet vital profession; now, therefore, be it |

| 19 | 19 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 20 | 20 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Cameron James Atkins on his |

| 21 | 21 | | graduation from the Abilene Police Academy and extend to him |
