H.R. No. 1610
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Cameron James Atkins graduated from the Abilene
Police Academy on March 2, 2023, and it is fitting that he be
recognized for his commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being
of his fellow Texans; and
WHEREAS, After undergoing training and successfully
graduating as a member of Police Training Class No. 60, Mr. Atkins
was sworn in as an officer of the Abilene Police Department with
Badge No. 1330, joining the ranks of men and women who dedicate
themselves to protecting the lives and property of Abilene
residents; and
WHEREAS, By taking his oath of duty, Officer Cameron Atkins
is carrying on the department's proud tradition of service to the
community, and he is to be commended for devoting himself to this
challenging yet vital profession; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Cameron James Atkins on his
graduation from the Abilene Police Academy and extend to him
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Officer Atkins as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
