H.R. No. 1749
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Julian Jones of Early College High School has been
named the 2024 Secondary Teacher of the Year in the Round Rock
Independent School District; and
WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to
become successful and productive adults, and those men and women
who dedicate their careers to teaching make a positive difference
in the lives of their students and in the greater community; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Jones has been an educator for nine years, and
he currently teaches world geography at Early College High School,
where he uses a project-based approach to encourage students to
create meaningful work while developing skills that will prepare
them for professional life; in addition, he provides class members
with opportunities to explore career paths related to the course
material; and
WHEREAS, Julian Jones exemplifies the passion,
determination, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our
best teachers, and he has set a standard of excellence to which all
in his profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Julian Jones on his selection as
the 2024 Secondary Teacher of the Year in the Round Rock Independent
School District and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
success with his important work; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Jones as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
