5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The passing of Glenda Marie Lehnhoff of Universal |

6 | 6 | | City on April 22, 2023, at the age of 68, brought a great loss to her |

7 | 7 | | family, her friends, and the Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City |

8 | 8 | | Independent School District community; and |
---|
9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The daughter of Dorothy Roberson and Weldon Alvis |
---|
10 | 10 | | "Butch" Roberson, the former Glenda Roberson was born in Devine on |
---|
11 | 11 | | May 1, 1954; she grew up with four brothers, Russell, Gary, Mark, |
---|
12 | 12 | | and Mickey, and a sister, Margaret; after graduating from Devine |
---|
13 | 13 | | High School, she went on to complete her bachelor's degree at Texas |
---|
14 | 14 | | A&M University; she was employed as a research lab assistant at The |
---|
15 | 15 | | University of Texas Health Science Center; and |
---|
16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, She married Robert Lehnhoff on February 17, 1979, |
---|
17 | 17 | | and they were blessed with a son, Scott, and a daughter, Robin; once |
---|
18 | 18 | | her children were in school, Mrs. Lehnhoff joined the |
---|
19 | 19 | | Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City Independent School District as a |
---|
20 | 20 | | computer instructional aide at Rose Garden Elementary School; she |
---|
21 | 21 | | went on to serve as the athletic secretary, and over the course of |
---|
22 | 22 | | two decades in that role, she and her husband, an acclaimed coach, |
---|
23 | 23 | | worked together to mentor students and develop successful sports |
---|
24 | 24 | | teams; the district recognized their outstanding contributions by |
---|
25 | 25 | | naming its athletic facility the Robert & Glenda Lehnhoff Stadium; |
---|
26 | 26 | | and |
---|
27 | 27 | | WHEREAS, Following her retirement, Mrs. Lehnhoff embraced |
---|
28 | 28 | | the role of full-time grandmother to Landri, Rex, Ty, Ethan, and |
---|
29 | 29 | | Avery; she was also a very active member of Madison Hills Baptist |
---|
30 | 30 | | Church; and |
---|
31 | 31 | | WHEREAS, Glenda Lehnhoff touched many lives through her |
---|
32 | 32 | | warmth and kindness, and her devotion to her family, her faith, and |
---|
33 | 33 | | her community will remain a lasting source of inspiration to all who |
---|
34 | 34 | | were privileged to know her; now, therefore, be it |
---|
35 | 35 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

36 | 36 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Glenda Marie |

37 | 37 | | Roberson Lehnhoff and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her |
