| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Miguel Ignacio Ruiz has ably served his fellow |

| 6 | 6 | | Texans as an aide in the office of State Representative Trey |

| 7 | 7 | | Martinez Fischer during the 88th Legislative Session; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Ruiz has provided vital |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, such as |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | drafting bill analyses, aiding constituents, and supporting the |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | House Juvenile Justice and Family Issues Committee; in addition to |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | gaining valuable experience in the field of public service, he has |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | learned more about the legislative process and the issues facing |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Ruiz recently earned a bachelor's degree in |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | economics from The University of Texas at Austin, where he was |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | involved in the Latinx Honors Student Association, the Phi Delta |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Phi Pre-Law Honor Society, and the Latin Economic and Business |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Association; he has also volunteered with Hill Country Daily Bread |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Ministries in Boerne; following the legislative session, he plans |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | to attend law school; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Miguel Ruiz has performed his duties as a |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | legislative aide with skill and dedication, and he is indeed |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore, |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | be it |

| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 27 | 27 | | Legislature hereby commend Miguel Ignacio Ruiz for his service as a |
