H.R. No. 2023
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Miguel Ignacio Ruiz has ably served his fellow
Texans as an aide in the office of State Representative Trey
Martinez Fischer during the 88th Legislative Session; and
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Ruiz has provided vital
assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, such as
drafting bill analyses, aiding constituents, and supporting the
House Juvenile Justice and Family Issues Committee; in addition to
gaining valuable experience in the field of public service, he has
learned more about the legislative process and the issues facing
citizens of the Lone Star State; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Ruiz recently earned a bachelor's degree in
economics from The University of Texas at Austin, where he was
involved in the Latinx Honors Student Association, the Phi Delta
Phi Pre-Law Honor Society, and the Latin Economic and Business
Association; he has also volunteered with Hill Country Daily Bread
Ministries in Boerne; following the legislative session, he plans
to attend law school; and
WHEREAS, Miguel Ruiz has performed his duties as a
legislative aide with skill and dedication, and he is indeed
deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Miguel Ignacio Ruiz for his service as a
legislative aide in the office of State Representative Trey
Martinez Fischer and extend to him sincere best wishes for
continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Ruiz as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
