5	5	WHEREAS, Samantha Humphrey of Chambers County has been
6	6	selected as one of the "44 Under 40" honorees for 2023 by the
7	7	Baytown Sun; and
8	8	WHEREAS, Each year, the Baytown Sun recognizes the
9	9	achievements of dynamic young leaders under the age of 40 who have
10	10	distinguished themselves in their professions and in their
11	11	contributions to the community; and
12	12	WHEREAS, Ms. Humphrey currently serves as the director of
13	13	economic development and grant management for Chambers County, and
14	14	she has further experience as a project manager, communications
15	15	specialist, and event planner; she holds a bachelor's degree in
16	16	public relations from The University of Texas at Austin and is
17	17	working toward a master's degree in public affairs at Lamar
18	18	University; and
19	19	WHEREAS, Samantha Humphrey has set an outstanding example of
20	20	leadership in her field and in her community, and she is sure to
21	21	make further contributions to the Baytown area in the years ahead;
22	22	now, therefore, be it
23	23	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
24	24	Legislature hereby congratulate Samantha Humphrey on her selection
25	25	as one of the "44 Under 40" honorees by the Baytown Sun and extend to
26	26	her sincere best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors;
27	27	and, be it further
28	28	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
29	29	prepared for Ms. Humphrey as an expression of high regard by the
30	30	Texas House of Representatives.
