H.R. No. 2157
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Samantha Humphrey of Chambers County has been
selected as one of the "44 Under 40" honorees for 2023 by the
Baytown Sun; and
WHEREAS, Each year, the Baytown Sun recognizes the
achievements of dynamic young leaders under the age of 40 who have
distinguished themselves in their professions and in their
contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Humphrey currently serves as the director of
economic development and grant management for Chambers County, and
she has further experience as a project manager, communications
specialist, and event planner; she holds a bachelor's degree in
public relations from The University of Texas at Austin and is
working toward a master's degree in public affairs at Lamar
University; and
WHEREAS, Samantha Humphrey has set an outstanding example of
leadership in her field and in her community, and she is sure to
make further contributions to the Baytown area in the years ahead;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Samantha Humphrey on her selection
as one of the "44 Under 40" honorees by the Baytown Sun and extend to
her sincere best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors;
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Humphrey as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
