| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Azul Martinez has distinguished herself in her |

| 6 | 6 | | responsibilities as a policy aide in the office of State |

| 7 | 7 | | Representative Claudia Ordaz during the 88th Legislative Session; |

| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Martinez has provided |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | including contributing to bills relating to animal welfare and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | environmental regulation; in addition to gaining valuable |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | experience in the field of public service, she has learned more |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | about the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Lone Star State; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, A constituent of House District 79, Ms. Martinez |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | graduated from The University of Texas at El Paso in 2022; she |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | previously worked as a paralegal, and she served as an intern for an |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | El Paso County commissioner; recently, she released two singles |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | entitled "Golden" and "Instrumental Blues"; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Azul Martinez has performed her duties as a policy |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed deserving of |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Legislature hereby commend Azul Martinez for her service as a |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | policy aide in the office of State Representative Claudia Ordaz and |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all her |
