44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, Monserrat Garcia Rodriguez has distinguished
66 herself in her responsibilities as an intern in the office of State
77 Representative Victoria Neave Criado during the 88th Legislative
88 Session; and
99 WHEREAS, Since joining the staff as a Mexican American
1010 Legislative Caucus intern, Ms. Rodriguez has provided vital
1111 assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; in
1212 addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public
1313 service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the
1414 issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and
1515 WHEREAS, Ms. Rodriguez is a student at St. Mary's
1616 University, where she serves as president of the Multicultural
1717 Language Association and as vice president of IGNITE, an
1818 organization that encourages young women to run for public office;
1919 she has received a number of awards, including the Madeleine
2020 Scholarship, and she was named a 2022 Charles B. Rangel Scholar; a
2121 native of Eagle Pass, she is the founder of Maverick County Young
2222 Democrats; and
2323 WHEREAS, Monserrat Garcia Rodriguez has performed her duties
2424 as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed
2525 deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore,
2626 be it
2727 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
2828 Legislature hereby commend Monserrat Garcia Rodriguez for her
2929 service as a legislative intern in the office of State
3030 Representative Victoria Neave Criado and extend to her sincere best
3131 wishes for continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it
3232 further
3333 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3434 prepared for Ms. Rodriguez as an expression of high regard by the
3535 Texas House of Representatives.
