H.R. No. 2204
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Monserrat Garcia Rodriguez has distinguished
herself in her responsibilities as an intern in the office of State
Representative Victoria Neave Criado during the 88th Legislative
Session; and
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff as a Mexican American
Legislative Caucus intern, Ms. Rodriguez has provided vital
assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; in
addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public
service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Rodriguez is a student at St. Mary's
University, where she serves as president of the Multicultural
Language Association and as vice president of IGNITE, an
organization that encourages young women to run for public office;
she has received a number of awards, including the Madeleine
Scholarship, and she was named a 2022 Charles B. Rangel Scholar; a
native of Eagle Pass, she is the founder of Maverick County Young
Democrats; and
WHEREAS, Monserrat Garcia Rodriguez has performed her duties
as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed
deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Monserrat Garcia Rodriguez for her
service as a legislative intern in the office of State
Representative Victoria Neave Criado and extend to her sincere best
wishes for continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Rodriguez as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
