| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Alaina Colleen Dixon has distinguished herself in |

| 6 | 6 | | her responsibilities as an administrative aide and Texas |

| 7 | 7 | | Legislative Internship Program Fellow in the office of State |

| 8 | 8 | | Representative Venton Jones during the 88th Legislative Session; |

| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Dixon has provided |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | she has been particularly passionate about such critical issues as |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | living wages for working families, public health, and civic |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | engagement, and she has also thoughtfully managed meetings with |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | constituents, elected officials, and advocacy organizations; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Dixon attends Southwestern University, where |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | she studies political science, and she is a recognized Texas Civic |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Ambassador; she previously completed internships with Prosper |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Georgetown and the San Antonio Food Bank, and she is a member of the |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Pi Sigma Alpha National Political Science Honor Society and the |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Alpha Chi National College Honor Society; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Alaina Dixon has performed her duties as an |

| 23 | 23 | | administrative aide and TLIP Fellow with skill and dedication, and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | she is indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; |

| 25 | 25 | | now, therefore, be it |

| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 27 | 27 | | Legislature hereby commend Alaina Colleen Dixon for her service as |
