 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Alaina Colleen Dixon has distinguished herself in
 her responsibilities as an administrative aide and Texas
 Legislative Internship Program Fellow in the office of State
 Representative Venton Jones during the 88th Legislative Session;
 and
 WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Dixon has provided
 vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks;
 she has been particularly passionate about such critical issues as
 living wages for working families, public health, and civic
 engagement, and she has also thoughtfully managed meetings with
 constituents, elected officials, and advocacy organizations; and
 WHEREAS, Ms. Dixon attends Southwestern University, where
 she studies political science, and she is a recognized Texas Civic
 Ambassador; she previously completed internships with Prosper
 Georgetown and the San Antonio Food Bank, and she is a member of the
 Pi Sigma Alpha National Political Science Honor Society and the
 Alpha Chi National College Honor Society; and
 WHEREAS, Alaina Dixon has performed her duties as an
 administrative aide and TLIP Fellow with skill and dedication, and
 she is indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work;
 now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
 Legislature hereby commend Alaina Colleen Dixon for her service as
 an administrative aide and Texas Legislative Internship Program
 Fellow in the office of State Representative Venton Jones and
 extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all her
 endeavors; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Ms. Dixon as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
