| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Taressa Reid of San Marcos has ably served her |

| 6 | 6 | | fellow Texans as an intern in the office of State Representative |

| 7 | 7 | | Jarvis Johnson during the 88th Legislative Session; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Reid has provided vital |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | including analyzing legislation, meeting with stakeholders, and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | drafting memos; in addition to gaining valuable experience in the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | field of public service, she has learned more about the legislative |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, The daughter of Cleopatra and Robert Liedl, Ms. Reid |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | is a senior at Texas State University, where she is pursuing a |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | bachelor's degree in social work and has been named to the dean's |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | list; she plans to return to school to study dance and to eventually |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | open a movement therapy studio; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | therefore, be it |

| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 24 | 24 | | Legislature hereby commend Taressa Reid for her service as a |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | legislative intern in the office of State Representative Jarvis |

| 26 | 26 | | Johnson and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success |
