44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, Taressa Reid of San Marcos has ably served her
66 fellow Texans as an intern in the office of State Representative
77 Jarvis Johnson during the 88th Legislative Session; and
88 WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Reid has provided vital
99 assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks,
1010 including analyzing legislation, meeting with stakeholders, and
1111 drafting memos; in addition to gaining valuable experience in the
1212 field of public service, she has learned more about the legislative
1313 process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and
1414 WHEREAS, The daughter of Cleopatra and Robert Liedl, Ms. Reid
1515 is a senior at Texas State University, where she is pursuing a
1616 bachelor's degree in social work and has been named to the dean's
1717 list; she plans to return to school to study dance and to eventually
1818 open a movement therapy studio; and
1919 WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her
2020 duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is
2121 indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now,
2222 therefore, be it
2323 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
2424 Legislature hereby commend Taressa Reid for her service as a
2525 legislative intern in the office of State Representative Jarvis
2626 Johnson and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success
2727 in all her endeavors; and, be it further
2828 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2929 prepared for Ms. Reid as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3030 House of Representatives.
