H.R. No. 2215 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Taressa Reid of San Marcos has ably served her fellow Texans as an intern in the office of State Representative Jarvis Johnson during the 88th Legislative Session; and WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Reid has provided vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, including analyzing legislation, meeting with stakeholders, and drafting memos; in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and WHEREAS, The daughter of Cleopatra and Robert Liedl, Ms. Reid is a senior at Texas State University, where she is pursuing a bachelor's degree in social work and has been named to the dean's list; she plans to return to school to study dance and to eventually open a movement therapy studio; and WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas Legislature hereby commend Taressa Reid for her service as a legislative intern in the office of State Representative Jarvis Johnson and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Ms. Reid as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
