| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Katharine Milne has ably served her fellow Texans as |

| 6 | 6 | | an aide in the office of State Representative Jarvis Johnson during |

| 7 | 7 | | the 88th Legislative Session; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Milne has provided |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | such as analyzing bills and managing social media; in addition to |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | gaining valuable experience in the field of public service, she has |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | learned more about the legislative process and the issues facing |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, The daughter of Sarah Milne and Keith Milne, |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Ms. Milne is currently pursuing a master's degree in public affairs |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at The University |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | of Texas at Austin; she has received the Helen J. and Robert S. |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Strauss Fellowship, the Barefoot Sanders Excellence Fund in |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Effective Governing, and the J. J. Pickle Fellowship, and she has |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | served on the board of the school's Student Collective for |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Abolitionist Learning; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Katharine Milne has performed her duties as a |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, |

| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 27 | 27 | | Legislature hereby commend Katharine Milne for her service as a |

| 29 | 29 | | Johnson and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success |
