44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, Katharine Milne has ably served her fellow Texans as
66 an aide in the office of State Representative Jarvis Johnson during
77 the 88th Legislative Session; and
88 WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Milne has provided
99 vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks,
1010 such as analyzing bills and managing social media; in addition to
1111 gaining valuable experience in the field of public service, she has
1212 learned more about the legislative process and the issues facing
1313 citizens of the Lone Star State; and
1414 WHEREAS, The daughter of Sarah Milne and Keith Milne,
1515 Ms. Milne is currently pursuing a master's degree in public affairs
1616 at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at The University
1717 of Texas at Austin; she has received the Helen J. and Robert S.
1818 Strauss Fellowship, the Barefoot Sanders Excellence Fund in
1919 Effective Governing, and the J. J. Pickle Fellowship, and she has
2020 served on the board of the school's Student Collective for
2121 Abolitionist Learning; and
2222 WHEREAS, Katharine Milne has performed her duties as a
2323 legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed
2424 deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore,
2525 be it
2626 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
2727 Legislature hereby commend Katharine Milne for her service as a
2828 legislative aide in the office of State Representative Jarvis
2929 Johnson and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success
3030 in all her endeavors; and, be it further
3131 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3232 prepared for Ms. Milne as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3333 House of Representatives.
