 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Katharine Milne has ably served her fellow Texans as
 an aide in the office of State Representative Jarvis Johnson during
 the 88th Legislative Session; and
 WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Milne has provided
 vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks,
 such as analyzing bills and managing social media; in addition to
 gaining valuable experience in the field of public service, she has
 learned more about the legislative process and the issues facing
 citizens of the Lone Star State; and
 WHEREAS, The daughter of Sarah Milne and Keith Milne,
 Ms. Milne is currently pursuing a master's degree in public affairs
 at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at The University
 of Texas at Austin; she has received the Helen J. and Robert S.
 Strauss Fellowship, the Barefoot Sanders Excellence Fund in
 Effective Governing, and the J. J. Pickle Fellowship, and she has
 served on the board of the school's Student Collective for
 Abolitionist Learning; and
 WHEREAS, Katharine Milne has performed her duties as a
 legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed
 deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore,
 be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
 Legislature hereby commend Katharine Milne for her service as a
 legislative aide in the office of State Representative Jarvis
 Johnson and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success
 in all her endeavors; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Ms. Milne as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
