| 7 | 7 | | Agribusiness Management Contest held at Sam Houston State |

| 8 | 8 | | University on April 28, 2023; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, FFA Career Development Events are designed to help |

| 10 | 10 | | students prepare for a career in agriculture by testing and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | challenging their technical, leadership, interpersonal, and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | teamwork skills, as well as their knowledge of the subject matter; |

| 13 | 13 | | individuals competing in Farm and Agribusiness Management CDEs |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | apply management skills and economic principles to various |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | agriculture and agribusiness situations as they complete a written |

| 16 | 16 | | exam and solve farm analysis problems; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, The Panhandle FFA Farm Business Management team of |

| 18 | 18 | | Kaleb Parra, Jack Sinclair, Logan Leisher, and Samuel Weinheimer |

| 19 | 19 | | delivered an exceptional performance and earned third place overall |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | with an aggregate score of 579 on the exam; furthermore, |

| 21 | 21 | | Mr. Weinheimer was named as the first-place contestant after |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | earning a total score of 227, the highest individual score at the |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | competition; and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Through countless hours of preparation and an |

| 25 | 25 | | unwavering commitment to excellence, the members of the Panhandle |

| 26 | 26 | | FFA Farm Business Management team have brought tremendous credit to |

| 27 | 27 | | their school and their community, and they may take justifiable |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | pride in their outstanding accomplishments; now, therefore, be it |

| 29 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 30 | 30 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Kaleb Parra, Jack Sinclair, Logan |
