R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Carrie Flores has earned great distinction with her
outstanding service as principal of Durham Elementary School in the
Houston Independent School District; and
WHEREAS, Demonstrating an unwavering commitment to the
students, faculty, and staff of Durham Elementary School,
Ms. Flores has led the way in fostering a supportive and
challenging educational environment on campus; previously, she
served as a teacher, a gifted and talented coordinator, and an
assistant principal at Pilgrim Academy; she holds a bachelor's
degree from the University of Houston and a master's degree in
educational administration from California State University,
Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, A quality education is critical to the continuing
vitality of our state, and Carrie Flores is playing an instrumental
role in helping students to reach their full potential and become
engaged and productive members of their community; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Carrie Flores for her contributions as
principal of Durham Elementary School and extend to her sincere
best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Flores as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
