44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, Amor Sheffield has distinguished herself in her
66 responsibilities as a legislative aide in the office of State
77 Representative Rafael Anchía during the 88th Legislative Session;
88 and
99 WHEREAS, Since joining the staff as a fellow in the Sam
1010 Houston Austin Internship Program, Ms. Sheffield has provided
1111 vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks;
1212 she has focused on such critical issues as criminal justice and
1313 education, and she has also been responsible for analyzing
1414 legislation, communicating with constituents, and drafting
1515 correspondence; and
1616 WHEREAS, Ms. Sheffield graduated on May 12, 2023, from Sam
1717 Houston State University, where she received a bachelor's degree in
1818 political science; she was a member of the Pre-Law Society and the
1919 Honors College and earned placement on the dean's and president's
2020 lists; previously, she completed internships with the City of
2121 Huntsville Service Center and the Fort Bend County Tax
2222 Assessor-Collector's Richmond Tax Office; and
2323 WHEREAS, Amor Sheffield has performed her duties as a
2424 legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed
2525 deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore,
2626 be it
2727 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
2828 Legislature hereby commend Amor Sheffield for her service as a
2929 legislative aide in the office of State Representative Rafael
3030 Anchía and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success
3131 in all her endeavors; and, be it further
3232 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3333 prepared for Ms. Sheffield as an expression of high regard by the
3434 Texas House of Representatives.
