| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Amor Sheffield has distinguished herself in her |

| 7 | 7 | | Representative Rafael Anchía during the 88th Legislative Session; |

|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff as a fellow in the Sam |

| 10 | 10 | | Houston Austin Internship Program, Ms. Sheffield has provided |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | she has focused on such critical issues as criminal justice and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | education, and she has also been responsible for analyzing |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | legislation, communicating with constituents, and drafting |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | correspondence; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Sheffield graduated on May 12, 2023, from Sam |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Houston State University, where she received a bachelor's degree in |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | political science; she was a member of the Pre-Law Society and the |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Honors College and earned placement on the dean's and president's |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | lists; previously, she completed internships with the City of |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Huntsville Service Center and the Fort Bend County Tax |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Assessor-Collector's Richmond Tax Office; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Amor Sheffield has performed her duties as a |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, |

| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 28 | 28 | | Legislature hereby commend Amor Sheffield for her service as a |
