H.R. No. 2410 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Amor Sheffield has distinguished herself in her responsibilities as a legislative aide in the office of State Representative Rafael Anchía during the 88th Legislative Session; and WHEREAS, Since joining the staff as a fellow in the Sam Houston Austin Internship Program, Ms. Sheffield has provided vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; she has focused on such critical issues as criminal justice and education, and she has also been responsible for analyzing legislation, communicating with constituents, and drafting correspondence; and WHEREAS, Ms. Sheffield graduated on May 12, 2023, from Sam Houston State University, where she received a bachelor's degree in political science; she was a member of the Pre-Law Society and the Honors College and earned placement on the dean's and president's lists; previously, she completed internships with the City of Huntsville Service Center and the Fort Bend County Tax Assessor-Collector's Richmond Tax Office; and WHEREAS, Amor Sheffield has performed her duties as a legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas Legislature hereby commend Amor Sheffield for her service as a legislative aide in the office of State Representative Rafael Anchía and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Ms. Sheffield as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
