| 10 | 10 | | District, this prestigious accolade celebrates 16 elementary and |

| 11 | 11 | | secondary school teachers who demonstrate a commitment to |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | excellence in one of 15 categories of instruction; and |

| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Flores was honored as the Blue Zones Project |

| 14 | 14 | | health and physical education chair for secondary schools; a |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | graduate of Texas Christian University with nearly three decades of |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | teaching experience, he strives to build relationships with his |

| 17 | 17 | | students and to create a positive classroom atmosphere where |

| 18 | 18 | | everyone is encouraged to take risks, express themselves, share |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | ideas, and actively engage in their learning; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Mario Flores exemplifies the passion, |

| 21 | 21 | | determination, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our |

| 22 | 22 | | best teachers, and he has set a standard of excellence to which all |

| 23 | 23 | | in his profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it |

| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 25 | 25 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Mario Flores on his selection as |
