| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, A life filled with meaningful achievements drew to a |

| 6 | 6 | | close with the passing of Daniel Arturo Ramirez Sr. of Mission on |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | February 3, 2022, at the age of 71; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Danny Ramirez was born in Mission on July 9, 1950, to |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Hinosencio and Maria Flores Ramirez, and he grew up with the |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | companionship of seven siblings, Maria, Fidelpha, Rosita, |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Celestino, Maria Carmen, Inosencio, and Maria Elena; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Early in his working life, Mr. Ramirez was employed |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | at David's Pharmacy and, later, at Klinck Drug Stores as general |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | manager; he found his calling as the owner and operator of Danny's |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Mexican Restaurants, and he took great satisfaction in serving his |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | customers for more than 35 years; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Above all else, Mr. Ramirez treasured his family; he |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | shared 48 happy years with his wife and high school sweetheart, |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Graciela "Gracie" Casas Ramirez, and he was the devoted father of |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | four children, Rosanna, Daniel, Rosalva Marissa, and Anaisa; with |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | the passing years, he had the pleasure of seeing his family grow to |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | include 15 grandchildren; during his leisure time, he enjoyed |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | watching old western movies and WWE wrestling, cheering on the |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Dallas Cowboys, and spending time with his "Whataburger Club" |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | friends; and |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, Those fortunate enough to know Danny Ramirez will |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | always remember the way he touched their lives with his compassion, |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | kindness, and unique sense of humor, and they will forever hold him |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | close in their hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 31 | 31 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Daniel Arturo |
