H.R. No. 514 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, A life filled with meaningful achievements drew to a close with the passing of Daniel Arturo Ramirez Sr. of Mission on February 3, 2022, at the age of 71; and WHEREAS, Danny Ramirez was born in Mission on July 9, 1950, to Hinosencio and Maria Flores Ramirez, and he grew up with the companionship of seven siblings, Maria, Fidelpha, Rosita, Celestino, Maria Carmen, Inosencio, and Maria Elena; and WHEREAS, Early in his working life, Mr. Ramirez was employed at David's Pharmacy and, later, at Klinck Drug Stores as general manager; he found his calling as the owner and operator of Danny's Mexican Restaurants, and he took great satisfaction in serving his customers for more than 35 years; and WHEREAS, Above all else, Mr. Ramirez treasured his family; he shared 48 happy years with his wife and high school sweetheart, Graciela "Gracie" Casas Ramirez, and he was the devoted father of four children, Rosanna, Daniel, Rosalva Marissa, and Anaisa; with the passing years, he had the pleasure of seeing his family grow to include 15 grandchildren; during his leisure time, he enjoyed watching old western movies and WWE wrestling, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, and spending time with his "Whataburger Club" friends; and WHEREAS, Those fortunate enough to know Danny Ramirez will always remember the way he touched their lives with his compassion, kindness, and unique sense of humor, and they will forever hold him close in their hearts; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Daniel Arturo Ramirez Sr. and extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of his family: to his sister, Maria Elena Ramirez; to his wife, Graciela Casas Ramirez; to his children, Rosanna Rosales and her husband, Andy, Daniel Ramirez Jr. and his wife, Daniela, Rosalva Marissa Ochoa and her husband, Vicente, and Anaisa Guajardo and her husband, Alex; to his grandchildren, Daniela, Aileen, Alyssa, Michael, Raymundo, Abigail, Rebecca, Marcos, Enrique, Jordan, Matthew, Estrella, Mia, Priscilla, and Bella; to his great-granddaughter, Daliana; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Danny Ramirez.
