R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Mujeres Cycling in San Antonio is being honored on
March 14, 2023, in recognition of the first anniversary of the
organization's founding; and
WHEREAS, Established in January 2022, Mujeres Cycling is a
female-only training club that provides support for its members,
helping to improve their skills, strength, and endurance, while
also encouraging camaraderie and mentorship; and
WHEREAS, The group holds weekly social and training rides in
San Antonio and across the surrounding area; the rides are open to
individuals of all levels, and Mujeres Cycling often partners with
other women's bicycling clubs to coordinate events; and
WHEREAS, Through its exemplary work, Mujeres Cycling is
building a supportive and welcoming community for women cyclists,
and it is a pleasure to join in recognizing the group for its many
contributions; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature hereby commemorate the first anniversary of Mujeres
Cycling and extend to its members sincere best wishes for the
future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be prepared for the
club as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of
Representatives.
