| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Plano firefighter Stephanie Bouillion-Mayer has |

| 6 | 6 | | achieved great distinction by obtaining urban search and rescue |

| 7 | 7 | | specialist certification from the Texas A&M Engineering Extension |

| 8 | 8 | | Service in 2023; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, A member of the Plano Fire-Rescue department, |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Ms. Bouillion-Mayer is the first woman in the Lone Star State to be |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | named a US&R rescue specialist; she began working toward the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | certification in 2014; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, The Rescue Training Program is conducted by the |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service, an internationally |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | recognized leader in emergency response training, workforce |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | training, and technical assistance; designed for members of search |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | and rescue task force teams, the course requires more than 300 hours |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | of education and provides the highest level of training in |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | structural collapse rescue operations; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Stephanie Bouillion-Mayer has exemplified the |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | highest ideals of her profession while contributing to the safety |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | and well-being of area citizens, and her receipt of this |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | prestigious certification is an inspiration to her fellow emergency |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | responders in Texas and beyond; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Stephanie Bouillion-Mayer on |

| 27 | 27 | | earning urban search and rescue specialist certification from the |

| 28 | 28 | | Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service and extend to her sincere |
