| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, M. Scott Norman Jr. has made invaluable |

| 6 | 6 | | contributions to the Texas Association of Builders during his 20 |

| 7 | 7 | | years of service to the organization; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Established in 1946, the Texas Association of |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Builders is dedicated to fostering a positive business environment |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | for the housing industry by addressing housing issues in the Lone |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Star State; the organization consists of 26 local associations and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | nearly 10,000 members, who represent builders, remodelers, and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | developers from across Texas; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Scott Norman first joined TAB on January 20, 2003; |

| 15 | 15 | | he previously served as vice president of governmental affairs and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | as general counsel, and he has led the association as executive |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | director for the last 15 years; during his tenure, he has worked |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | tirelessly to advance the organization's mission and to support its |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | members and staff; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Throughout his career, Scott Norman has upheld the |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | highest standards of his profession, and the Texas Association of |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Builders has greatly benefited from his leadership; now, therefore, |

| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 25 | 25 | | Legislature hereby honor M. Scott Norman Jr. for his 20 years of |

| 27 | 27 | | sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
