| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The passing of Saundra Gail Cullins Holland of |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | Rockwall on March 17, 2023, at the age of 59, brought an |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | immeasurable loss to her family and friends; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Born to Ila and Douglas Cullins on July 1, 1963, the |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | former Saundra Cullins grew up in Rockwall with the company of two |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | sisters, Dana and Terri, who were her best friends; she graduated |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | from Rockwall High School, and on September 4, 1982, she married her |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | childhood sweetheart, Lance Aldred Holland; they became the proud |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | parents of a son, Justin; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Holland worked as a legal assistant early in |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | her marriage; as her husband's career in real estate advanced, she |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | joined his company, Regal Realtors, and ably supported its growing |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | success in the market; over the course of three decades, she served |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | as a real estate assistant, licensed agent, co-owner, and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | compliance officer; she also played a kind, maternal role for many |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | of the agents and won the firm's "Most Valuable Player" award |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | multiple times; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Above all, Mrs. Holland was dedicated to her family, |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | which grew to include two treasured granddaughters, Wiley Beth and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Emma Cullins Holland, who were the light of her life; she delighted |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | in attending dance recitals and sports and cheer competitions, as |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | well as taking beach vacations with loved ones; in addition, she |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | enjoyed getaways with her friends; she shared a fulfilling marriage |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | with her husband until his passing in 2011; and |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | WHEREAS, Although Saundra Holland is deeply missed by those |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | she left behind, they will continue to find inspiration in her |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | devotion to her family and her faith, and she will forever hold a |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | special place in their hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Saundra Gail |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | Cullins Holland and extend sincere condolences to the members of |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | her family: to her son, State Representative Justin Holland, and |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | his wife, Neely; to her granddaughters, Wiley Beth Holland and Emma |

| 38 | 38 | | Cullins Holland; to her sisters, Dana Kay Macalik and her husband, |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | Jeff, and Terri Raye Ferguson and her husband, James; to her |
|---|
| 40 | 40 | | sister-in-law, Dawn Ewing, and brother-in-law, Rodney Holland; and |

| 41 | 41 | | to her many other relatives and friends; and, be it further |
