| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 361.153(a), Health and Safety Code, is | |
| 11 | 11 | amended to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (a) A county may appropriate and spend money from its | |
| 13 | 13 | general revenues to manage solid waste and to administer a solid | |
| 14 | 14 | waste program, including a program to buy back used tires or tires | |
| 15 | 15 | that may no longer be used for their intended purpose, and may | |
| 16 | 16 | charge reasonable fees for those services. | |
| 17 | 17 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
