A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to a conveyance or bequest to a trust.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 114, Property Code, is
amended by adding Section 114.087 to read as follows:
Sec. 114.087. CONVEYANCE OR BEQUEST TO TRUST. A conveyance
or bequest to a trust is considered a conveyance or bequest to the
trustee of the trust.
SECTION 2. Section 114.087, Property Code, as added by this
Act, applies to a conveyance or bequest made on, before, or after
the effective date of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023.
