No. 47 CONCURRENT RESOLUTION WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the sorrow felt by the family and friends of Captain Charles Dwayne Krampota of the Alvin Volunteer Fire Department, who passed away on September 23, 2022, at the age of 60; and WHEREAS, Born on April 13, 1962, Charles Krampota was the son of Alfred and Edna Krampota; he treasured time spent with his family, which included his parents and his son and daughter-in-law, Seth and Melissa Krampota; and WHEREAS, On September 23, 2022, Captain Krampota responded to a mobile home fire in Alvin; the structure was unoccupied, and he and his fellow firefighters extinguished the blaze and cleared the scene; tragically, he died at his home a few hours after the incident; this dedicated first responder served for more than two decades with Alvin VFD, earning a reputation for his exceptional courage and work ethic over the course of his tenure; and WHEREAS, Additionally, Mr. Krampota was employed by the Alvin Independent School District for 37 years, and he retired as mechanical systems manager; among his responsibilities, he oversaw daily mechanical operations at the district's campuses; and WHEREAS, Admired for his cheerful demeanor and willingness to help others, Charles Krampota lived a caring and purposeful life, and he leaves behind a record of service that his loved ones can remember with pride; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the 88th Legislature of the State of Texas hereby pay tribute to the memory of Captain Charles Dwayne Krampota and extend deepest condolences to all who mourn his passing; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of Representatives and Senate adjourn this day, they do so in memory of Charles Krampota.
