| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the sorrow felt by |

| 6 | 6 | | the family and friends of Captain Charles Dwayne Krampota of the |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | Alvin Volunteer Fire Department, who passed away on September 23, |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | 2022, at the age of 60; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Born on April 13, 1962, Charles Krampota was the son |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | of Alfred and Edna Krampota; he treasured time spent with his |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | family, which included his parents and his son and daughter-in-law, |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Seth and Melissa Krampota; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, On September 23, 2022, Captain Krampota responded to |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | a mobile home fire in Alvin; the structure was unoccupied, and he |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | and his fellow firefighters extinguished the blaze and cleared the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | scene; tragically, he died at his home a few hours after the |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | incident; this dedicated first responder served for more than two |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | decades with Alvin VFD, earning a reputation for his exceptional |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | courage and work ethic over the course of his tenure; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Additionally, Mr. Krampota was employed by the |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Alvin Independent School District for 37 years, and he retired as |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | mechanical systems manager; among his responsibilities, he oversaw |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | daily mechanical operations at the district's campuses; and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Admired for his cheerful demeanor and willingness to |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | help others, Charles Krampota lived a caring and purposeful life, |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | and he leaves behind a record of service that his loved ones can |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | remember with pride; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That the 88th Legislature of the State of Texas |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | hereby pay tribute to the memory of Captain Charles Dwayne Krampota |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | and extend deepest condolences to all who mourn his passing; and, be |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | it further |
