11+ SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION
512 proposing a constitutional amendment to raise the maximum allowable
613 amount of money in the economic stabilization fund.
714 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
815 SECTION 1. Section 49-g(g), Article III, Texas
916 Constitution, is amended to read as follows:
1017 (g) During each fiscal biennium, the amount in the economic
1118 stabilization fund may not exceed an amount equal to 15 [10] percent
1219 of the total amount, excluding investment income, interest income,
1320 and amounts borrowed from special funds, deposited in general
1421 revenue during the preceding biennium.
1522 SECTION 2. This proposed constitutional amendment shall be
1623 submitted to the voters at an election to be held November 7, 2023.
1724 The ballot shall be printed to permit voting for or against the
1825 proposition: "The constitutional amendment to raise the maximum
1926 allowable amount of money in the economic stabilization fund."
