26 WHEREAS, Larry Fields has long dedicated himself to the
37 citizens and community of Graham; and
4- WHEREAS, Mr. Fields served as Graham city manager from
5- 1980 through 2014; demonstrating exceptional leadership over the
6- course of his 35-year tenure, he played an instrumental role in
7- the construction of a water treatment facility and city library;
8+ WHEREAS, Mr. Fields served as Graham city manager from 1980
9+ through 2014; demonstrating exceptional leadership over the course
10+ of his 35-year tenure, he played an instrumental role in the
11+ construction of a water treatment facility and city library;
812 moreover, he helped coordinate renovations and upgrades to the
913 wastewater plant, Graham Memorial Auditorium, and Young County
1014 Arena; and
11- WHEREAS, Following his retirement in 2014, Mr. Fields
12- twice served as interim city manager, first in March and April
13- 2015 and then again from June through October 2022; today, he
14- remains civically engaged, and he continues to give back to his
15- fellow citizens; and
16- WHEREAS, A committed champion of his community, Larry
17- Fields may reflect with pride on his many efforts in its behalf
18- and on the knowledge that his contributions will benefit area
19- Texans for years to come; now, therefore, be it
20- RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
21- Legislature, hereby commend Larry Fields for his many years of
22- dedicated service to the Graham community and extend to him
23- sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
