SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 330
WHEREAS, Larry Fields has long dedicated himself to the
citizens and community of Graham; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Fields served as Graham city manager from
1980 through 2014; demonstrating exceptional leadership over the
course of his 35-year tenure, he played an instrumental role in
the construction of a water treatment facility and city library;
moreover, he helped coordinate renovations and upgrades to the
wastewater plant, Graham Memorial Auditorium, and Young County
Arena; and
WHEREAS, Following his retirement in 2014, Mr. Fields
twice served as interim city manager, first in March and April
2015 and then again from June through October 2022; today, he
remains civically engaged, and he continues to give back to his
fellow citizens; and
WHEREAS, A committed champion of his community, Larry
Fields may reflect with pride on his many efforts in its behalf
and on the knowledge that his contributions will benefit area
Texans for years to come; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
Legislature, hereby commend Larry Fields for his many years of
dedicated service to the Graham community and extend to him
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
prepared for Mr. Fields as an expression of high regard from
the Texas Senate.
