5+ R E S O L U T I O N
26 WHEREAS, Our communities draw immeasurable strength from
37 individuals such as Neal Blanton, who has greatly benefited his
48 fellow citizens through his contributions as an engaged civic
59 leader; and
610 WHEREAS, Mr. Blanton served as mayor of Graham from 2018
7- until February 2023; in his retirement, he has continued to
8- serve area residents and assist the town's current mayor; and
9- WHEREAS, Deeply dedicated to his community, Mr. Blanton
10- has held leadership positions with numerous local organizations
11- over the years, including the Rotary Club of Graham, the Graham
12- Economic Development Corporation, the Graham Industrial
13- Association, the Graham Convention and Visitors Bureau, the
14- Graham Community Foundation, and the Graham Regional Medical
15- Center Board of Directors; he has also given generously of his
16- time as a member of the North Central Texas College Foundation
17- Board and other groups; and
18- WHEREAS, Through his many civic contributions, Neal
19- Blanton has helped to make Graham a better place for all, and he
20- may indeed reflect with pride on his myriad accomplishments; now,
21- therefore, be it
22- RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
23- Legislature, hereby commend Neal Blanton for his service to the
24- Graham community and extend to him sincere best wishes for the
25- future; and, be it further
