SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 331
WHEREAS, Our communities draw immeasurable strength from
individuals such as Neal Blanton, who has greatly benefited his
fellow citizens through his contributions as an engaged civic
leader; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Blanton served as mayor of Graham from 2018
until February 2023; in his retirement, he has continued to
serve area residents and assist the town's current mayor; and
WHEREAS, Deeply dedicated to his community, Mr. Blanton
has held leadership positions with numerous local organizations
over the years, including the Rotary Club of Graham, the Graham
Economic Development Corporation, the Graham Industrial
Association, the Graham Convention and Visitors Bureau, the
Graham Community Foundation, and the Graham Regional Medical
Center Board of Directors; he has also given generously of his
time as a member of the North Central Texas College Foundation
Board and other groups; and
WHEREAS, Through his many civic contributions, Neal
Blanton has helped to make Graham a better place for all, and he
may indeed reflect with pride on his myriad accomplishments; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
Legislature, hereby commend Neal Blanton for his service to the
Graham community and extend to him sincere best wishes for the
future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
prepared for Mr. Blanton as an expression of high regard from the
Texas Senate.
