2	6		WHEREAS, Chico's Tacos in El Paso is marking the 70th
3	7		anniversary of its founding in 2023; and
4		-	WHEREAS, The first Chico's Tacos was opened on Alameda
5		-	Avenue on July 4, 1953, by the late Joe B. Mora, a boxing promoter
6		-	from El Paso; and
7		-	WHEREAS, This family-owned establishment has since
8		-	expanded to additional locations, delighting its dedicated
9		-	clientele with a menu featuring homestyle Mexican fare and other
10		-	specialties; Chico's garnered national attention when it was
11		-	spotlighted on television shows such as Delicious Destinations
12		-	and The Best Thing I Ever Ate; and
13		-	WHEREAS, Over the course of seven decades, Chico's Tacos
14		-	has gained generations of loyal followers and established itself
15		-	as a local institution, and it is a pleasure to recognize the
16		-	restaurant and the reputation for excellence that it has
17		-	achieved; now, therefore, be it
18		-	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
19		-	Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commemorate the 70th
20		-	anniversary of Chico's Tacos and extend to all those associated
21		-	with the restaurant sincere best wishes for continued success;
22		-	and, be it further
