2	6		WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
3	7		recognize Leonel Rodriguez on his outstanding service as a State
4	8		Farm agent for the past 45 years; and
5	9		WHEREAS, Leonel Rodriguez began his illustrious career
6	10		with State Farm in May of 1978 and has provided auto, home, life,
7	11		and health insurance policies to his many clients in the Rio
8	12		Grande Valley; and
9	13		WHEREAS, A native of the Valley, Leo is highly regarded by
10	14		his clients and colleagues for his commitment to protecting the
11	15		interests of others; Leo has built lasting relationships with his
12	16		clients, and he has distinguished himself in his agency by
13	17		qualifying for ambassador travel; and
14	18		WHEREAS, Admired for his spirit of generosity, Leo has
15	19		volunteered with a number of community organizations and serves
16	20		as a lector and Eucharistic minister at Holy Spirit Parish; a
17	21		devoted community advocate, Leo has served as the president of
18	22		volunteer councils for juvenile justice and has been a member of
19	23		the McAllen Chamber of Commerce and the Rio Grande Valley
20	24		Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; and
21	25		WHEREAS, Leo is a graduate of The University of Texas-Pan
22	26		American and a veteran of the United States Army National Guard;
23	27		in his 45-year career with State Farm, Leo has served his clients
24	28		with distinction, and he is truly deserving of special
25	29		recognition for achieving this important milestone in his
26	30		career; now, therefore, be it
27	31		RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
28	32		Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend Leonel Rodriguez
29	33		on his faithful service to State Farm for the last 45 years; and,
30	34		be it further
31	35		RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
32	36		him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
