| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, A caring and purposeful life drew to a close with |

| 6 | 6 | | the passing of Betty Sue McCaslin Rinehart of Tyler on November |

| 7 | 7 | | 19, 2021, at the age of 79; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The daughter of Lee Earl McCaslin and Juanita |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Pruett McCaslin, Betty Rinehart was born in Tyler on February 6, |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | 1942; she attended Robert E. Lee High School and continued her |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | education at Tyler Junior College and The University of Texas at |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Tyler; over the course of her career, she served as a legal |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | secretary for U.S. District Judge William Steger; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Rinehart enjoyed a rewarding marriage with her |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | husband, Charles Rinehart, that spanned 58 years; a woman of faith, |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | she was a valued congregant of Grace Community Church in Tyler; in |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | her leisure time, she enjoyed playing golf; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Those who were privileged to share in this |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | esteemed woman's love and friendship will always remember her |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | with great admiration and affection; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Betty Sue McCaslin Rinehart and extend sincere condolences to the |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | members of her family: to her husband, Charles Rinehart; to her |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | sister, Clara Nell Miller; to her brothers, Gilbert Lee McCaslin |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | and Billy Travis McCaslin; to her nieces and nephews; and to her |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | other relatives and friends; and, be it further |

| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be |
