R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Moore County Crime Stoppers received two Texas Best
Awards at the 34th Annual Texas Crime Stoppers Conference, which
took place in McAllen from October 3 through 5, 2023; and
WHEREAS, Presented by the Office of the Texas Governor, the
Texas Best Awards recognize the top Crime Stoppers organizations
from across the state; this year, Moore County Crime Stoppers was
honored in the categories of Most Cases Cleared for 2022 and
Greatest Dollar Recovery for 2022; and
WHEREAS, Moore County Crime Stoppers provides residents with
a secure and anonymous way to report criminal activity in their
area; the organization operates a hotline to field tips about
crimes, and a cash reward is paid out for information that leads to
an arrest; and
WHEREAS, Moore County Crime Stoppers has played an
instrumental role in ensuring the safety and well-being of area
citizens, and it is a pleasure to join in recognizing the
organization for its invaluable contributions to the community;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Moore County
Crime Stoppers on receiving two Texas Best Awards at the 34th Annual
Texas Crime Stoppers Conference and extend to all those associated
with the organization sincere best wishes for continued success
with their important work; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Moore County Crime Stoppers as an expression of high
regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
